Regular readers will know this lovely lady, we call her Dirty Girl for obvious reasons. She has had three other foals whilst we have been here with one having been still born so it was a great relief to see this little one up and healthy and already bonded to its mum. The little one must have been born within the last thirty six hours.
Our new little brown friend is so young it is having to lean on its mum for balance.
Mums neck makes a wonderful head rest while she is grazing and trying to get enough grass to provide the milk that her newborn will need.
Our new brown friend is showing all the right signs of being inquisitive but using its mum to hide behind for safety.
I will add more photos as the opportunities arise.
