Out with friends

We went out for a walk with our friend Chrissie and her two dogs Amber and Griff this morning, they are two great little characters that I would like to introduce you to, so here they are Mr Griff and Miss Amber as they go about their business on a walk around the lake.

These are two great characters with Griff being a little Superhero who has and still is unwell but that does not stop him enjoying life and having a great time when out walking.

11 Pipers Piping - 11 of natures decorations



 
and so the eleventh day - I know it should be Monday but I am having Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off.  Today I thought it would be nice to do nature,s own winter decorations.
 
 
A very large Rose Hip
 
 
Ivy berries great colours and shapes
 
 
these little buds turn into wonderful white flowers
 
 
Dried Oak Leaves



these I call Spruce Nuts they are square and very small compared to normal cones
 
 
Pyracantha berries we have these yellow and also red ones here in the garden
 
 
here we have some of our miniature apples the are only about one centimeter around and later in the winter they will be devoured by the birds
 
 
little black gems - sloe berries - Sue soaks them in Gin for some reason ?
 
wild clematis seeds look great in winter and fill the trees around here

Ten Lords a-Leaping or 10 Cloudy Scenes

I had planned something else for today but on my way back from helping a friend I was mesmerized by the wonderful cloud formation that was resting in the Thouars Valley. These are real winter clouds, like the ones Santa uses so you don't see him flying in the sky with his reindeer- so here is a collection of ten of the images I took.
 
 
 




 


 


 
 




 












 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

 


This last image is of the steam from our local Nuclear Power Station and I think is very reminiscent of a nuclear mushroom but without the flash, blast and fallout.
